0:17 Today, they we are announcing the strategic mid-plan "Alliance 2020
covering the period 2017 to 2022.
0:29 Alliance 2022's purpose is to enhance collaboration and to increase
convergence between the member companies.
0:37 In 2016 annualized synergies rose to five billion euro achieved through
incremental revenues, cost savings and cost avoidance.
0:48 Today, we're announcing a target to double these annualized synergies to
more than 10 billion euros by the end of the plan.
0:57 Globally we intend to boost our synergies by deepening existing
cooperation within the converged functions, relying on more common platforms and
powertrains,
1:10 sharing innovation in electrification, connectivity autonomous drive
technology and mobility services, and by creating synergy opportunities in new areas.
1:22 By the end of the plan, we will extend our common platforms to cover every
major product segment offered by our member companies.
1:30 Adding a common EV platform and a common B-segment platform, by the end of the plan, over nine million vehicles will be produced on
four common platforms.
1:43 The proportion of common powertrains will grow from one third of total
sales in 2016 to 3/4 of total sales by the end of the plan.

Powertrain and Electric Vehicle Engineering
1:56 As pioneer and global leader in the zero-emission electric vehicles,
1:59 the objective remains to be the number one provider in mainstream mass
market and affordable EVs around the world.
2:12 In total, 12 new electric vehicles will be launched by the end of the
plan.
2:16 70% of the volumes will be based on this common platform, and 100% of it components will be shared.
2:25 The combination of increased battery efficiency and new powertrain will extend the range of our EVs.
2:34 By the end of the plan, we expect the range of this vehicle to exceed 600
Km, calculated under any DEDC homologation methodology.
2:46 More efficient batteries will also contribute to faster charging times.
2:50 We expect to provide a range of 230 Km recovery per 15-minute charge by
2022, compared to the 90 km today.
3:05 Alongside our pure EVs efforts, we will add up Mitsubishi's plug-in hybrid
technology for new model in the city segment for Renault and Nissan.
3:15 The combination of pure battery EVs, PHEVs, HEVs and mild hybrids will lift the penetration of electrified models to 30% of total Alliance
volume by the end of 2020.

Connected Vehicles and Mobility Services
3:31 Connectivity is a key technology building block that will enable the member companies to realize
additional synergies.
3:39 These synergies and our connectivity strategy are based on the new Alliance
Connected Cloud.
3:47 Through the common cloud platform, we will provide services in seven key categories.
3:51 They will include - some examples - remote diagnostics, journey planning or
peer-to-peer car sharing.
3:56 Altogether, we are already planning 35 services by 2020.
4:04 By the end of the plan, we expect 90% of our vehicles to be connected and
enabled with these new services.
4:10 We believe our increasingly connected, intelligent autonomous cars will contribute to the future mobility services.
4:22 These services will include robo-taxis and ride-hailing mobility solutions.

Research and Advanced Engineering
4:28 We are announcing today that at least 40 vehicle models with advanced, autonomous drive systems will be launched by the end of the plan.
4:39 Starting next year, we'll introduce highly autonomous vehicles or use on highways,
in which drivers will continue to monitor the environment and be ready to take back
control.
4:52 This will be followed in 2020 by autonomous drive technologies, for city-driving conditions, and highway driving with only occasional driver intervention.
5:06 By the end of the plan, we expect the member companies to introduce the first fully autonomous drive vehicles, with no human intervention necessary.
Carlos Ghosn
Alliance Chairman and CEO
5:20 As our member companies pursue these synergies, volume will also
increase.
5:22 This year, we expect sales of more than 10.5 million units.
5:29 By the end of the plan, we are forecasting that unit sales by our member companies will reach 14 million
vehicles.
5:38 We forecast these combined revenues will reach $240 billion by the end of the plan, up more than 30% from
$180 billion in 2016.
